Hi, I'm new to travelling with solo groups but looking forward to my trip to Borneo in May. However, I've just been scaring myself silly looking at vaccination advice! Can anyone who has been tell me which vaccinations they had before going please? I'm particularlly wondering about Japanese encaphalitis (I know someone who has been left completely paralysed as a result of infection but she was a research scientist spending extended times in China...) and hepatitis A.

Any useful tips please about the holiday?

Also, I am travelling out to Borneo separately as I'm travelling on to stay with my son in Hong Kong afterwards. I'm slightly worried that I will miss out on all the bonding and group dynamics? Or does that tend not to start until you all get to the first hotel? I will arrive there at about the same time as the group and will be on the same internal flight. I think! It's all so long ago now that I booked, I can't quite remember any more!
