Hi everyone

 I have just booked this trip but am a bit nervous as I have done a couple of solo since lossing my husband 10 years ago but most of the time have been away with friends and family and have never done this big a trip on my own or been with just you before but have always wanted to go to canadian rockies so plucked up the courage to do it and wanted to see if I could make contact with anyone else going or get some ideas on what the holidays are like.

Nice to hear we seem to be in the same boat and are both quite apprehensive. I have also wanted to do this trip after losing my husband nine years ago next month. It is very daunting but am looking forward to it. You did not say where you are from. As I explained I am from Manchester and have booked a flight to Heathrow the day before and booked an airport hotel. If you are also flying from Manchester it would be good to meet up perhaps. I have put my husband's name as user name not realising this was used for communication which may cause confusion. Be nice to hear back.

Nice to hear from you unfortunatly I am in Gloucester so a bit further south than you and haven't as yet looked at how to get to Heathrow but I will properly book national express the day before and stay over night in a hotel in Heathrow so if we are in the same one it would be good to met up the night before perhaps so we could travel into the airport the next day together.
