Going to Sri Lanka for the first time.

Wondered if all the hotels will have electricity and what kind of adapters are required for recharging batteries etc.

Are there tourist type shops where you can buy clothes.

Are you able to use debit cards in ATMs or is it best to take cash. If cash is the answer, which is best - sterling or USD

To have free use of an airport lounge, do we have a voucher or something to show? How does this work?

What is the dress code? Shorts and tee shirts through the day and smart on evening?

Hi

Went to Sri Lanka in May with another company. It has electricity and you can get appropriate adapter from Amazon!! Sri Lanka has a closed currency but you exchange sterling at the airport on arrival. ATMs are widely available and hotels will also change sterling.

I really enjoyed my holiday and hope you do too

Hi Janet,

I will be on the tour. It'll be my 7th Just You holiday! I'm taking Sterling cash and a debit card, as well as the usual credit card(s). The voucher for the lounge should be with the final documentation which we should get next week. Just You holidays are casual affairs, dress up in the evenings if you want, but , equally, t shirts and casual attire are fine. In my experience, the holidays are usually quite intensive, you do a lot of things in a short space of time. Be prepared to need another holiday to get over this one! But, at least you're kept busy!! I look forward to meeting you and, if you have any other concerns, let me know.

Best wishes,

Pete.
