In the new brochure the hotel for 2019 for Cilento Coast is shown as Le Palme in Capaccio.  Is this correct please?

I remember I went on the first trip out with JY to Cilento Coast (my first JY trip too), and we did a boat trip along that part of the coast.  Very nice it was too.   :)

Can you confirm please?  The website is still showing L'Appordo as the hotel.

Yep that's correct, the hotel for 2019 is Le Palme in Capaccio.

We're changing hotels for 2019 because the Approdo will be under new management, not due to the food. We're aware there were some issues previously with the food, however this has improved and we're confident it won't be an issue. As always we will keep a close eye on things though 🙂

The pool is likely to be open as it's still warm, but as always this is weather dependent.

As per my previous post, I've been twice and am somewhat saddened that the hotel will no longer feature in the JY brochure.  

I always enjoyed myself  there, the rooms all have balconies, and my personal opinion is that they are fine, although the shower was a little small. Spotlessly clean though and the bed was very comfortable.  

The food when I was there was fine, although the only complaint I ever had was that service was slow.  Staff were all polite.  I haven't been since the spa has been open, so I can't comment on that.  Incidentally Vickie, the title of the holiday will have to be changed now?  I don't think there is a spa at the new hotel?

The thing I will really miss is the village, lovely welcoming people, and some nice bars and restaurants.  It appears that the new hotel is fairly isolated, although it has excellent reviews on TA, and it's own private beach and beach bar.

DAY 1 UK to Naples

​Today you’ll fly to Naples and transfer to your hotel. After time to settle in, we’ll get to know one another better over a welcome drink.​

DAY 2 Castellabate

​The Cilento Coast is one of Campania's most remote corners and is less well-known than its neighbour, the Amalfi Coast. With shimmering waters, secluded coves and inviting towns, the area lends itself perfectly to a holiday of long lazy days speckled with opportunities to discover more of the Italian culture. Swamped in history, the whole Cilento area is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After breakfast this morning, we'll set out on an included excursion to the medieval town of Castellabate. Located high on a hill, we'll admire fantastic views across the countryside and out to sea, and enjoy a walk through the arches and passageways of the town centre.

The rest of the day has been left free for you to spend at your leisure. Perhaps enjoy a stroll with your travelling companions or relax at the hotel with its big swimming pool and private beach.

DAY 3 Paestum

​We include a tour of Paestum, the Cilento Coast's most famous historic site today. Founded in the 7th century BC by the Greeks, it is home to three massive Doric temples - said to be the best-preserved Greek temples in the world. We will learn more about their fascinating history in the company of a Local Guide and visit Paestum's museum. Later we'll call at a nearby farm and sample some locally produced buffalo mozzarella. ​

DAY 4 Amalfi & Ravello

​On today's optional full-day excursion we'll enjoy a drive along the stunning Amalfi Coast to the towns of Amalfi and Ravello. If you prefer, you could enjoy time at leisure to relax and soak up the sun. Maybe head to the hotel's private beach, which is accessible via a walkway through the surrounding pinewood forest.

DAY 5 Elea Velia

​Today's optional excursion takes us to the ruined city of Elea Velia. In the company of a Local Guide we'll enjoy a tour of the city and see the Porta Rosa - one of the earliest Greek arches ever found. We'll return to our hotel this afternoon where you can relax and enjoy the facilities.

DAY 6 Cilento National Park

​An optional excursion today takes us on a scenic drive through Cilento National Park. Along the way we'll see some of the delightful villages that nestle amid the beautiful landscape. Alternatively, you could choose to enjoy some free time.

DAY 7 Salerno

​We'll visit Salerno, a lively town with an array of historic attractions today. Here you can take a stroll along the charming tree-lined promenade or maybe shop for souvenirs to take home. We'll return to the hotel for some free time this afternoon and enjoy a farewell get-together this evening.​

DAY 8 Naples to UK
