Hi Linda,
This is a fantastic tour - of all my 14 JY trips it is still top of the list as my favourite!
If you go on to the Review section you will see a review from last year of this tour.
A couple of things I would advise - it is vital that you take rehydration salts, anti-bacterial gel & wipes and imodium! You need to use the gel or wipes all the time, especially when handling money as Indian rupees tend to be well used! I also went vegetarian which helped enormously. Do not have ice in anything, don't eat the salads, even in top class hotels, or ice cream. Anything basically that has been washed in water or that you cannot peel!
If you are a keen photographer, India is paradise! You will need lots of spare batteries, memory cards, chargers (check if you need a special adapter for India) etc. etc. The trip is quite tiring with lots of very early starts, but worth it 100%. My highlights were the Taj Mahal (however many pictures you have seen of it, at sunrise it is just magical), seeing 3 tigers at Ranthambore, and Varanasi at dawn is very moving.
Your senses will be bombarded with colours, smells and sounds.
Have a fantastic time!
Cheers,
Hils
