Hi Karen, I have been on this same trip to Istria several times over the years, and the highlight for me is the boat trip! The Tour Managers have all been lovely, including Darija who was the lady on my last JY trip. The location of the hotel overlooking the sea is wonderful, the old town is close by for wandering around in with bars and restaurants, and the coast path is long and connected to various points of interest en route so you can do as much of it as you like, and then take bus if you get tired.
