Hello All,

Just came from my very best holiday so far: St Lucia and would like to share my feedback with you!

I was very impressed with the detail provided with each request- also very prompt.

Our tour guide was Caroline Godfrey:

10/10 for our guide! She is a wealth of knowledge- great personality- very vibrant, full of educational information, great company, and very competent. Caroline has great attention to detail to make sure that she could provide anything we might need. The local guide Valencia also was brilliant, very  knowledgeable and friendly!

Tour

The tour certainly took into account the diversity of St. Lucia.I saw so many different things - different kinds of forest with its various trees, plants and birds, waterfalls in several different places - volcanoes were spectacular - especially fortunate that we saw them on clear days. There was a good amount of activity each day with not too much down time. The excursions included in the tour are enough to see pretty much everything, although I booked myself in tree optional excursions and tree of them deserved the money spend. Was absolutely divine to see Coco plantation and making your own Hotel chocolate! Also strongly recommended the boat trip for watching dolphins and whales. The trip in the forest rain with airrail tram was a breathtaking!

Among the tours I enjoyed were the rain forest, the jeep safari, the sunset on the catamaran-ship and the rum distillery. Lots to see and learn!

Accommodations

The hotel was very clean and the rooms were a good size with a safe, iron and board, coffee and tea maker, spacious balcony with nice view!

Breakfast was buffet and the staff were very attentive and friendly.

The beach was at the Bay Gardens Beach Resort but there was a shuttle bus about every half an hour also you could walk to the beach in 15/20 minutes past the shops and many restaurants, beach towels are available.

Transports

Both the pick-up and drop off at the airport were very comfortable and very punctual - ours driver-guide was a fantastic competent driver and the vehicle is very luxurious and capable for the sometime poor road conditions. We were very impressed.

Meals

In all cases the meals were very good and tasty - well prepared and healthy - I really appreciated the variety and especially the lovely fruit beverages and fresh fruits.

All in all a good holiday with tours and plenty of time to do your own thing as well, with 19 of us in the group it was just a nice size and everyone mixed very well, Caroline the TM looked after us and did a great job of organising the trips!

Absolutely - definitely - I will be recommending  St Lucia tour and I will also be taking another in the future wit JU! Thank you for a wonderful journey!

Hi Nesi

Many thanks for the review. This is on my wishlist and I am so glad you enjoyed it.  One question - is the transfer far from the airport on St Lucia?

Hi Nesi,

Many thanks for your great review - I'd love to visit St Lucia but I had been put off this tour as I thought it was mainly a beach holiday with few excursions - your review has made me re-think!  Hopefully I'll get to do it over the next few years.

All the best,

Bob

Hi Nesi

I too had not considered this tour before as I thought it was a beach holiday and I am not a beach person. Sounds like you had a lovely time with all the excursions.

Hi Jonah,

yes the transfer from the airport to the hotel was far ....by bus took us around 2 hours, as was a bit traffic when we approached the capital. Otherwise is around 1h30 min. But I enjoyed. Was very picturesque journey and the bus was wit aircon and very comfortable  with the company of very knowledgeable local guide!

Hi Bob,

Definitely recommended! This was the most busiest holiday I have done so far! Lots of activity and plenty of things to do on this Island. Manage to go to the beach only 4 times

for short time: when I arrived, although was already dark, I had a beach walk just to feel the water and two afternoons plus the last day for few hours ? . Busy, busy holiday??

Hi Nesi

Yes to Cocktails! - I will have to add this holiday to my ever growing long list especially now I know that there is so much to do besides the beach. I don't mind a leisurely walk along the beach early morning or evening, but lying in the sun is a total No No for me.

Hi Nesi,

This sounds good! Just wanted to ask how expensive this works out as dinners and excursions all extra? Sounds a lovely holiday!

Hi Sue, dinners are between 35-45US$(main+desert+drink), the 3 optional excursions I've done cost me around 330US$....was worth it every cent!
