Hi,

JY have a great range of Italian holidays, pretty much all of which are on my list. Travelsphere have had for a while a few very interesting tours which JY don't- in particular Le march. I was wondering whether JY were going to create a similar tour/s?

Thanks

Mark

Hi Mark,

As you know, we are always looking to offer more new and exciting holidays. Like I said on your previous thread, you will have to wait and see what we have in the pipeline for new European holidays, but I will pass your suggestions over to our Holiday Creators.

Kindest regards,

Monty

Hi Monty, I'm another who would be interested in the 2 Italian TS tours that Mark suggests. At present the main thing that prevents me from booking JY Italian tours is the ridiculously early airline departures, which puts the tours in the "too complicated to bother with this" category.

I agree.  And nearly always Gatwick departures! :s

Hi Katy & Bosuncat

Check out the trip to Sorrento and Caserta in October.  Yes it is earlyish but it is Manchester.

Hi Julia/Elisa

Have just heard that this holiday for 4th October has been cancelled.  Really disappointed as I was looking forward to this fulfilling a dream to see Amalfi and Capri - I know there are other holidays that do this but I liked the rural feel of the 2nd part of the holiday.  It seems really early to pull a holiday - how do JY decide?

Hi jonah,

I'm sorry that you were disappointed on this occasion.

In answer to your question as to how we decide, there are a number of things that the team look at to determine whether or not to cancel a tour such as:

The current number of travellers booked

The take up on tours to similar destinations

The take up on similar dates

Operational changes that have to be made since the tour was promoted

This list goes on and on an on and we have a number of staff dedicated to analysing various data. A decision to cancel is never easy as the last thing we want to do is disappoint our customers.

Kindest regards,

Julia

Thanks Julia

I have now swapped to the Rome and Sorrento tour on 20th September flying from Manchester.  Do you have any info on numbers, ages and m/f split?

Cheers

Hi Jonah,

I hope you have a wonderful time in Rome & Sorrento.

In terms of numbers there are 7 travellers booked on this date, with the group made up of 3 men and 4 women. Ages of the group range from mid-40s through to early-70s.

The tour has been given the green light to go ahead, so if you ask again closer to departure we'll happily give you an update on the numbers.

Kindest regards,

Julia

Have a great time Jonah.  :)

One of the first times I did Sorrento was as a 2 centre with Rome.  Good combination.

Thanks Julia, Mark & Bosuncat.  Fortunately this was my second choice and I have managed to change time off at work plus the cattery so all good I hope!! 🙂
