It's a lovely part of the world and although I have not spent much time on the Opatija Riviera and never been to Lovran, where the hotel is I am really looking forward to going back.

Mavis if I can make a recommendation for one optional trip it's Plitvice Lakes. Stunning, totally stunning. I just wish that I could manage the steps and walking there. It's been a long, long time. Regardless. Enjoy your trip. I am so pleased you have decided to book.

Hi Bosuncat, thanks for recommendation. Plitvice Lakes is not one of my pre-booked trips as I am booked for the Caves and Lipica Stud Farm the day before and Island cruise day after, so wanted some 'chill' time. Perhaps another visit to Croatia!?

I can understand that you need a day free Mavis, and remembering Plitvice from years back it is pretty full on. Yes you need to go again. :thumbup:

So pleased you have chosen to go to the caves and Lipica. Again it is many years since I have been there and I believe this is the only holiday now that includes Lipica. I may well do it myself. The Island Cruise is always good fun.
