Hi Diane,

I'm sorry to hear that you are so far disappointed by your Just You experience.

I have forwarded your details to my colleague in the Customer Care team who will be in touch with you shortly.

Kindest regards,

Julia

Hi, Im thinking of booking my first holiday as a singleton and Justyou sounds like the company to go with, all the reviews are very positive. Northern Cyprus at end of September appeals to me. Has anyone been on this holiday or would be great. to hear from someone who is going on that date

Thanks

Audrey

Hi Jaybel

I'm on the Rome trip 9th August. It's my first trip with JY and I'm beginning to feel a few butterflies along with the excitement:) Have you travelled much before?

Hi. Nervous first timer and I'm thinking of going to Tuscany, Apulia or Calabria in September if anything is still available by the time I pluck up the courage. Anyone been or going, not sure which to choose as all sound good.

I've just booked for the Tuscany holiday in sept, also a first timer. I vary from being excited to nervous bug I'm I'll be fine.

Hi all

I haven't planned a holiday yet because I've no idea where I want to go; ideally I'd like somewhere warm because I'd like to go over the Christmas period. So not only is it daunting going by myself, I've never been abroad either. For various reasons it's something I'd never done yet there's so many places around the world that I've seen on tv that I think would be great to go to, but now that I want to, I can't think where to go!

I've only ever flown within the UK so am not unfamiliar with flight though I have to admit to not liking the idea of being on a flight of 4+ hours! I think I'd need to take some form of medication to keep me calm! lol

Any advice from you wonderful people to this absolute beginner would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Joe65

Don't be daunted, just go for it!

I did - 2 Christmases ago - and had the best time. You will be with other singles - none of whom want to stay by themselves for a holiday, especially over Christmas - so you WILL make friends. Don't worry about that for a minute more.

My first trip was to California so that is probably not best for your first time, given what you say.

This year, like you, I'm looking for something nearer and hopefully warm. The choices seem to be SIcily, Cyprus,(North and South), Spain and Morocco. Just have the dates and some reviews to look at before deciding.

Take a look at the hotels, the excursions included and what others say is my advice. The decision should be a bit clearer then.

Ask again and someone will sure to be of help.

Happy choosing!

Pleased to see you are now offering direct flights on some holidays from airports other than those around London. I shall look at JustYou holidays in a different light :)

Hi Everyone

I am a complete novice to travelling anywhere on my own. At the moment, I have a burning desire to see America, particularly San Francisco and the Grand Canyon.

Ideally looking for a female to travel with. I am 59 years young and would welcome the companionship of any age. Have a good sense of humour. They wouldn't have to be with me every minute, but someone to eat out with when necessary would be great.

In any event, looking forward to meeting fellow travellers in the near future.

Wishing all adventurers a fantastic trip wherever you are going.!

hello Jill

I am due to go on my 5th JY USA tour! I have not done the SFO or GC tour, on most USA tour you find breakfast is included and maybe the odd lunch or welcome dinner, other wise it's up to you where you eat in the evenings, your tour manager will sort things out don't panic...also I have NEVER EVER ate on my own, so sometimes people buddy up from day 1 or 2 other times it might be where certain people want to eat, it all works out fine, my first tour of 10 now was to the USA you will be fine honestly give it a go..if you have any other questions just ask.

Hi Alison,

I totally sympathize. It's a very difficult situation to be in.

From what I have read, most of the USA trips are full on, involving lots of walking, early mornings, long drives and getting on and off coaches etc. If this would be a struggle for your mum I suggest you phone and speak to someone in Just You customer service - they cant talk to you about individual people, but you could ask their advice about the suitability of the holiday your mother wishes to go on. Perhaps they could provide you with details of holidays more suited to your mothers capabilities and you could persuade her to look at them instead

To be honest I think all holiday companies have an obligation to ensure the suitability of a traveller to a holiday prior to taking their money - especially when it is a touring holiday with less opportunity to relax and numerous destinations.

I really hope you find a compromise which will give your mother what she wants but without the worry for you.

Kind Regards

Kezzer

Hi Cindy

Thanks very much for taking the time to reply to my post. I will take on board your comments. Still not sure a tour is the right thing for me, as I would like to spend at least 4 days in San Francisco. Difficult to find a tour that is not such a fast pace either. Hopefully I will find something ideal soon.! Thanks again. Jill 🙂

Tuscany is a beautiful part of Italy. I have been there many times although not with JY. I have done the Apulia trip with JY and I thought it was excellent. The hotel is a bit 'out of the way' in a quiet area but by the time I got back from the trips I was happy to have a drink and relax in the hotel.
