Hello

On my last JY holiday a number of us were commenting that it would be good if we could have booked an extension for a few days so that we could chill having done lots of JY day trips. Is this something that could be accommodated? We understand that this would be without a rep, but I've noticed that Page & Moy offer extensions for some holidays.

Look forward to your advice - 7 nights is just too short!

Best wishes

Janet

Good morning Janet,

Thanks very much for your post, it is a great idea and as a company we try to be as flexible and accommodating as possible, I have forwarded your comments onto the product managers but may I suggest that if you call into our contact centre and explain to one of our advisers what it is you wish to do on a future break, there may be a way to do it, I don't work in the contact centre so am unsure of what is and isn't possible, our advisers are well placed to answer this question,

I hope this helps,

Ben 🙂

I would say on some of the many tours I have been on, people have flown out sooner (this was to spend extra day's in HKG), and also I have left people behind to stay on longer or stay with family or friends in the country we have been in so I am sure it can be done. I think this would have to be Booked before you go so you might end up on your own as most people you would of not met by then. Some of the holidays do give you the option of staying on I did this on the Kenyan Safari. Many people stayed on in New Zealand, one person by another 3 weeks to carry on travelling.

Must agree with Janet an extension to some holidays would be great.

A problem with several JY holidays is that travelling there and back takes up such a significant part of the holiday, they really need to be a bit longer or more add-ons.

I have looked longingly at the American holidays, but with travelling (including to and from Heathrow) plus jetlag there is a lot less to enjoy. I took the (not now available) cruise add-on to the Rockies plus the Hong Kong add-on to Australia. Made a nice long time actually on holiday.

When I go on the Holy Land trip in October, I am flying out 3 days before the tour starts as the tour only spends one night in Tel Aviv. I had to pay extra (£70) for the flight (I am flying EasyJet from Luton) - I presume the price depends on which day you fly and Just You extended my stay at the hotel in a 'Just You' room by 3 nights on a bed and breakfast basis and included the extra cost in the price of the holiday so I do not have to pay the hotel myself. I will have to make my own way to the hotel - Just You can arrange the transfers as well, but for me it was a bit expensive than getting a taxi. So extended stays are possible if not an option. When I went to Jordan there was an option of staying at the Marriott by the Dead Sea after the tour and believe me it was very welcome after hectic few days!
