Hi,

just a couple of quick questions on this trip. When we go to the Cango Caves, will we get the opportunity to do the adventure tour or only the standard tour. Secondly do we go anywhere near The Big Baobab at Modjadjiskloof, as this looks really cool

Thanks

Hi Trish

I will need to check with our agents in South Africa so I will let you know when I have an answer.

I looked up the Big Baobab on Google. It does look really interesting but it appears to be at least a 7-hour round trip from Hazyview (the nearest point on the itinerary) so it may be a bit too far off course. But I will ask the question for you.

Kind regards,

Olly, your editor

Hi Trish,

You have certainly been doing your homework. I was intending to go on all the excursions on the itinery but that's as far as I have got. I had better start to have a look at where we are going!!

Look forward to meeting you on the 21st September.

Hi Trish,

It's my first trip on my own as well but I'm feeling less nervous or worried than I was initially simply from having been in touch with fellow travellers on this site since I booked. It's beginning to feel like I'm getting to know people before we even go which I think will help when we meet at the airport.

Looking forward to meeting you both in the executive lounge for a drink before we fly! I'm going to ring the doctor next week to see about what shots etc. I'll need, this looks like it will be the trip of a lifetime!

Hi Olly,

Just wondering if you have heard back from your Agents in South Africa yet?

Also, i notice that the 21st Sept has disappeared from the departure dates from the on line booking. Is this because it is now fully booked?

Thanks

Trish

Hi Trish

Sorry about that. My contact had been on holiday and missed the email. The Cango Caves ticket includes standard tickets, and I'm afraid it is not possible to visit The Big Baobab as part of this tour. Unfortunately the distances involved are too great.

The 21 September date is now fully booked, which is why it is no longer on the website.

Have a great trip.

Kind regards,

Hi Olly,

Re. South Africa 21st September.

I was wondering how our seats on the plane are allocated. Are we booked as a group and sit together or do we check in individually and just get a seat on our own. It would obviously be nice to be sat next to someone on the same holiday especially on a long flight.

As you can tell it is my first holiday with JY.

Hi Mike

Wherever possible, we try to book a block of seats so that everyone can sit together, so you will probably find you are sitting with everyone else. It depends on what the airline says is possible, so it's possible that there might be smaller groups dotted around the plane.
