Hi, having booked my first ever holiday on my own in September (and being an older woman) - now I'm getting really really nervous as departure time approaches (September). I booked my 'holiday of a lifetime' tour going to Canada and ending in New York.

helpful hints would be greatly appreciated please.

You will be fine, I have done this holiday Sept 2014 and left a review so have a look at that, it's a great tour with so much to see and do you will have a great time. I would just say go with the flow and do all you can, you will see so much. I did the New York add on as there were things I wanted to see and do..

Any questions just ask and I will try and answer them

Hi

I did this trip in 2013 and loved every minute of it. Boston is a great city and the journey through New England was lovely. Canada really lived up to my expectations. Quebec was my favourite city! Niagara Falls will take your breath away and the boat trip is not to be missed. The time spent in New York will only scratch the surface of this fascinating city.

The small group I travelled with ranged in age from late 20s to early 70s and mixed well.

Hope you have a great holiday and if you have any questions please ask

Hi bbav,

I'm not on the trip you are doing but I would just like to let you know that any nerves you have (which are normal for most of us solo travellers) will soon be put to rest. I have just returned from a 16 day tour of Chna and from the moment out TM met us in the lounge at Heathrow everything went smoothly. If you attach your JY label to your hand luggage then you will be easily identified by your fellow travellers and it will not be long before you start to make new friends. I hope you have a fabulous time and I'm sure your holiday of a lifetime will turn out to be everything (and more!) than you ever expected.
