I’ve decided against the pre-holiday get together – only because it’s an evening flight and it’ll be easier for me to fly down from Yorkshire during the day. I’d like to find out about vaccinations too. In September I’m hoping it’ll still be summery and I can live in skirts and t-shirts: mind you, I went to Canada in September last year and ended up snowed in at Niagara!

My first singles holiday was last November to the Black Forest for a house party.

I am looking forward to going to China. It is always interesting to meet new people and experience different ways of life.

I'm also going on the Wonder of China Trip with Hong Kong add on, on 12/09/07. I'm 27 years old and this is my first trip alone so I'm rather nervous about it all! Although I live in London, I thought I'd do the pre-holiday get-together so I can get familiar with people going on my trip before spending up to 2 weeks with these people on the otherside of the world! I hadn't thought about the fact that our flight is in the evening. I wonder how we will amuse ourselves between checking out of the hotel in the morning and our flight in the evening...

If anyone else is going on this same trip, I'd love to hear from you, especially if you're going to be at the pre-holiday get-together.

It's my turn to apologise. There seems to have been a problem with the web site & when it came back up I was unable to log on for some reason.

It has taken weeks to sort out.

About what to take. The helpful info. page which came with the confirmation invoice is useful. They said casual was best so I thought, like Anne, I would take shorts, tee shirts, cotton trousers & a crinkle skirt.

We will be unpacking & packing so often that we don't want to take too much. Easier said than done!

I found an 'interesting' website called journeywoman.com. Under the section 'What to wear, where?' there is lots of advice about clothing etc.

With regard to the vaccinations, although I am worried about mosquitoes, I am not too keen to take pills for weeks before & after my holiday. I think I will wait a few weeks & check with my G.P.

I also noticed the departure time is later than in the brochure, so I will probably travel to H/R on the day as well. I cant wait and look forward to meeting you both. Please keep in touch. Sorry once again, for the delay in replying.

I'm going to China on 19/9 and look forward to meeting up with you. I've just returned from Northern Cyprus with Just You. I had a great time (my first holiday on my own) and my pre holiday apprehensions soon disappeared. A fabulous crowd of Just You people enhanced by Linda - our wonderful tour manager. Big thanks to everyone for such an enjoyable holiday. Dave.
