I'm going on this trip and really getting quite excited.  My first solo holiday.  

Having read various past posts and some of the information when I booked the holiday, it looks as though layering is the order of the day as far as clothing is concerned.  Make  sure you have all your creature comforts for the flights - there are quite a few.  And, make sure your vaccinations are all up to date. Don't forget sunscreen.

I'm travelling down to LHR from North Yorkshire and hoping to spend the night beforehand at an airport hotel.  Endeavouring to spend tomorrow looking at all the logistics, etc.

I live in Kendal and travelling to Heathrow on the 4th from Manchester at 17.25. Am staying with a friend who lives near Heathrow. Am returning from Heathrow on the 24th on the 17.30 flight back to Manchester. If you want a lift with me to and from the airport that would be absolutely no problem,
