I just wanted to say hello to anyone else who is on the trip, I hope we have a wonderful time. We will be visiting so many places that I've always wanted to visit, plus revisiting a few.

Thank you JY for organising this trip, I'm sure it won't disappoint.  I know you don't give out too many details but can you tell us how many are on the trip and if there is any chance that we'll get the amazing Aideen as TM?

As for the Grand Tour, I think I'm prepared, but no doubt I'll have forgotten something.

How much in the way of Euros to take I've still to decide. Lots of meals and tips to take into account.

Have to say I'm looking forward to sampling the food. Love Italian !

One concern I have is around the new security system being introduced on the day we fly. Hopefully it will run smoothly when we land, but 'first day' gremlins might prove troublesome. Chaos may reign methinks. At least we won't be in any rush once reaching Italy ...

Although it's only a short flight, it's my first EasyJet trip, so I've booked my seat (1a) to ensure some extra legroom. 6'3" does have its drawbacks 😂

The countdown is definitely now on.

I'm impressed so far, a nice wallet and case tag and a lounge, they are spoiling us. It's shaping up to be a great trip.

I too am a bit concerned about the new system coming into play on the day we travel, I've been to places where fingerprints are taken and it's generally straightforward, but as you say, first day gremliins are very likely! At least it's not until we arrive and we'll just have to be patient.

I've also booked my seats both ways now as I like an aisle seat, I feel a bit hemmed in otherwise! 12C going out and 10C coming back.

I'll have my JY label on my handluggage so others can identify me as a fellow traveller, please say hello if you spot me, it sounds as if at 6'3" we won't have a lot of trouble spotting you Roger 😉.

I'm taking a Chase card plus €400, I'm hoping that we can use cards to pay for meals and the euros will be mainly for tips, ice cream etc and as a back up for any places that don't accept cards.

I know another lady, Sue, who will be on the trip, it's her first time in Italy. I've been on the Tuscany and the Italian Riviera trips but am excited to see Venice, Rome, Pompei, Sicily etc.
