Hi Ian,

Please write a review on your return as I am considering this trip in the future. My only concern is no Tour Manager at the resort.

Regards.

Roger

Hi Roger,

A review is on the agenda. Since this is not a tour then the absence of a TM/HD does not unduly concern me and it looking to be very popular. I will add any views post trip.  In the meantime if you have Freeview channel 92 (Wild Earth - also I believe on other platforms) their "live" safari programmes often feature sightings from Mabula.

Hi Anyone else booked on this date,

Be good to hear from anyone booked.

Hi,

I did this trip this September , it was amazing. You will be met at Johannesburg airport by Chris the Just you representative who will escort you Mabula Safari Plains lodge. The staff there are wonderful and the guides / rangers are fantastic . You will well looked after .

Hi Sarah,

I usually post a review after a trip so watch out for something circa mid November.

Hello Barbara,

Look forward to meeting you on 5th November.

A couple of things:-

1. You have posted elsewhere about water. There is nothing specific about this on the Mabula website but I would be surprised if water was not in the room as they advertise tea and coffee making facilities. I have not been to Mabula before so don't know of any policies re plastic but in Kenya earlier this year there was no plastic allowed in the parks and we all got lwater bottles and the drivers kept us stocked up. In any event the supply of water is often a driver "perk" so I shouldn't worry too much. There will be a bar(s) on site and there is a shop so it will be available.  Last time I was in SA it was a tour so it was always possible to stock up on anything you needed at comfort stops.

2. The electrical adaptor is unique to SA so I suggest you get one before you travel.

Thanks Ian, only 2 days to go. Queried about the water  as Just You in an email to me stated  only drink bottled water, although   in answer toa phone call to them  it was stated water at the hotel was safe to drink.

Thank you Ian for a great review on Safari plains looking forward to doing this holiday in July, you have answered so many questions that I had in mind, I have done 2 Just You holidays before that have been quite big groups, so it will be great if it is a smaller group, I have a friend also booked on it with me.
