if you are looking to eat out and want to treat yourself and don't mind paying €14 - 25 euros per course you must try Kalma restaurant! It is a true diamond in the rough! Only a fifteen minutes walk through the local residential district from hotel palma, be brave and walk there it is truly worth the expense! The staff are brilliant and not overly attentive. They inform you at every stage and their knowledge of the menus and wine for with each course is extensive! Each item in the menus is exceptional! They have local produce and calabrian (local) cuisine, sushi and fusion options. They can speak and understand  English and have English translations of their menus for those who don't feel comfortable speaking Italian. Booking is advisable (on the website) but not essential, open from 19:30 (7:30 pm) until 22:00 (10:00pm)ish.
