Hi can anyone recommend a hotel closely situated to Heathrow airport for an overnight stay, prior to my flight to Washington.

All suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks Sands 🙂

Hi it's hard to beat the Premier Inn, 15 Bath Road - very comfy beds, decent restaurant but you need to keep an eye on the website and book quickly when their prices drop!  You should be able to get a room for under £50 if you time it right!

All the best,

Bob

I agree.  It is a really good hotel.  I got it for £32 last year and then added on the meal deal.  I had a ground floor room , right near the reception, but it was very quiet.  The food is decent too, and the staff are friendly and helpful.

Hi Sands

Not sure which terminal you fly from but I have just booked the Premier Inn on the South Perimeter Road Heathrow, it opened last May, apparently its just a walk to terminal 4 were I catch my flight for the Cambodia trip in November. For 1 night it's cost me £40.00 inclusive of breakfast.

Hope this helps

Hello Sands and Mo,

Thank you for the question Sands and thank you Mo for the cost of Premier at Terminal 4. Just looked for the date that I need 26th October- £29.50 without breakfast as I believe we have a Lounge and the flight to Singapore leaves at 09.25, plus free wi fi, tea and coffee in the room. Sounds good to me

I've booked the new premier inn that's just opened and connected to terminal 4 for a flight I have in June (not a JY hol). When I booked they had some very good introduction rates.

Really doesn't matter which terminal you are flying from because you can use the free trains to connect the terminals and saves the cost of a shuttle bus.

Thanks Mick Mo and Jan for info and tip on hotel introductory offer I just booked the new hotel for the night before my Walking In Tuscany holiday in September - great price!

Best wishes ElizabethF

Just adding my thanks to everyone for the heads up about the PI at Terminal 4. Great that its a walk only to the terminal. I'm off to Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam in November (not with JY) - have just booked the PI for £29.5 (ex breakfast - expect to get a freebie in lounge). Checking my documents the flight leaves from T4, so couldn't be better and a great price.

Was hoping to do a short review of the new Premier Inn at Terminal 4 as I had booked for the night following my return from "Roof of the World" yesterday. Fate thought otherwise as our Jumbo Jet had a complete engine change in front of our very eyes at Hong Kong airport - meaning we landed in Amsterdam too late for the connection to London. Those that missed connections were put up at airport hotels - well organised - but be aware that if your hold luggage was booked through from Hong Kong to your final destination you will not have it for the unexpected overnight!

This T4 PI does seem a reasonably priced option, especially if flying from T4. The introductory rates were very good! Tripadvisor has some good reports - however if travelling to the hotel by car there is very limited parking and at a price.

:)  If someone who experiences it could just confirm the ease of access to and from the hotel from Terminal 4 please that would be useful. The blurb states it is a 10 minute walk under a covered walkway from T4 - with a hold case and a cabin bag etc just how easy is it? Many thanks.

Hi Kedi, I've got this new PI T4 hotel booked for November (following up from the previous posters heads up about it earlier on this thread).  Happy to report back then, but we may hear from others before this.

Hi Rose

if you head up the bath road about ten mins walk to the roundabout you can hop on the free bus to T2, or use the stop directly outside the PI and pay the fare about £4.50 as I recall or like I said take a short walk to the next stop and hop on for free

When you check in, you can ask the staff to book a taxi to any of the terminals. I've done this several times. .In May this year I paid £16 to terminal 5 The service is very efficient.

Stayed at the Prem inn term 4 and must say it was excellent, the walkway connected to the terminal kept us out the rain. Morning of our flight we used the free connection between terminals using the Heathrow express.

Thanks Mick, for the positive news/review of the PI at Terminal 4. I'm booked in for November, only stayed on Bath Road before. My flight leaves from Terminal 4 (Vietnam airlines), so seems ideal.

I have booked PI terminal 4 October 18th before my flight to Borneo. I've also booked Good to Go parking drop and ride which is on south perimeter road just opposite the Animal Reception Centre . Parking was 69.99 for 13 days and the hotel 29.50. A great deal all round!.

The good to go parking staff take you to your terminal by minibus so if they drop me at T4 I know I can walk to my hotel easily.

On the return they pick you up really promptly after you give them a call and the car is ready for you. No prob with taking car keys on holiday nor having to remember where I left my car!!

Most of the time I can't remember where I left my car in the supermarket? So this is a bonus for me!

Can't wait!!

Sue
