Well from my experience ages range between mid 20's and 80ish with the largest groups in their 50's and 60's.

To take it a bit further Ladies seem to cover the full range but can't recall seeing any Men much below 40 on the trips I've done.

I'm 54 and don't see age a big issue, on these holidays I've found myself socialising with people much older and youger and had a great time.

My advice if you are worried about been youngest or oldest don't be, you'll just stop yourself having a great holiday.

Yes think this is a top question, can't remember the amount of times I have posted on this.

I like the age mix, I am 53 and I have been doing these holiday's for 6 years, so I HAVE been the youngest but not often. Don't worry about the age it's the fitness I worry about I might be younger but I am not as fit as some of the older people.

If anything I think the age is coming down a little over the last 18 months.

I have been on 1 tour where there was a YOUNG man approx early 30's. He had a great time with us all fussing over him like mother hens..

Also there are always more ladies then men. Can I also say from a ladies point of view all the men I have met and there have been many!!! they have been perfect gentlemen. Growing up with a brother and having a husband and two grown up sons and ,1 grandson I am very happy to be among Men or the Ladies.

How right you both are. I personally like the age mix though to me age is just a number. Some days I feel 100 and some days I feel 21! I think if one gets on well with people of all ages then age is not an issue. It would be nice to have a few more men on the trip to get the right balance though!

I agree with all you have said and I definitely think the age range is coming down - on my last tour to India there were two women under 40 and three men around the 40 mark. Similar on the South Africa trip. I'd say the age range is understandably a bit younger on the long haul tours, although on the S Africa tour there was a very sprightly man of 81 and woman of 80! The age range and the way everyone mixes so well together are two big plusses on JY tours as far as I'm concerned!

I was 41 when I did my first Just You holiday. This October I will be going on my 8th Trip.

I completely agree with the others, ages is just a number. You always get on with someone in the group, if not everyone. I have made some lovely friends of all ages while doing these trips.

I am 33 and doing my first trip with just you to china in April and I have been so worried I would not feel included due to being the youngest on the trip.

I personally don't see age when I meet people I see a person, I am very easy to get on with and am feeling a bit more happier now.

The youngest was late 20's with the oldest being over 80. I myself am 42 and although one of the youngest the majority of people were in the 45 -65 age group and i mixed quite happily with pretty much everyone.

I do not think you will find 'blue rinse brigade' whatever that is nowadays!! People are getting younger all the time.

Personally I am a more bottle blond these days!!!! Didn't think the blue or the pink rinse was my colour... I have no idea what my natural colour is well apart from grey these days

Perhaps you should try the blue or pink rinse - you may be surprised. As for me I have stopped colouring my hair since the chemotherapy and am staying natural, which is almost all grey/white. No need to worry about 'roots' any more!

Did you find the chemo changed the texture of your hair as a few people I know said there hair textured changed, good for you going natural am not that brave!!!

I have baby fine hair so can relate on that issue...I hope all goes well for you and they do some lovely bandanas? To wear in the mean time.. My mother in law is bald it won't grow back due to illness but she wears a very expensive wig.

The Age Range question !. This has been a big question since I started Travelling with Just You some 6 years ago. I have experienced from the late 20s up to the 80s, in both sexes. And has never been detrimental in me enjoying a holiday. Everyone I have come into contact with have been friendly, and decent folk all with great stories to tell. And the great thing is, Everyone mixes so well.

I am 27 and went on my first JY holiday last year. There were people ranging from 20's to 80's and everyone was so nice and friendly. Age is no big deal, its just a number 😛
