Please can you tell me how many you take on the Journey through Central America tour?  Also how many are booked already for the trip on 13th February next year? Also m/f and age range for this date.

Am currently looking at where to go next Feb, currently torn between going to India or Sri Lanka or this trip, which I'm worried may disappear/be rested.

Many thanks

Good Afternoon Katy,

We can take up to 14 travellers for The Journey through Central America Tour. on the 14th February next year.

There are currently 10 travellers that are already booked for this tour - all of whom are women.

The age ranges from early 60s - early 70s.

I hope that this information helps you in your decision of where to travel to next year.

Kind regards,

Amy

Hi Katy,

I hope you are well!  My view (for what it's worth!) would be to go for this tour - if I didn't already have something planned for next Feb I'd be going then!  It looks a fabulous itinerary but, like you, I fear it could be rested before too long.  So please do book this, write a fantastic review and encourage us to book it too!!!  There are lots of options to go to India or Sri Lanka with JY and other companies but I haven't come across a Central American tour as good as this one!

Cheers,

Bob

Hi Bob, as you can see I'm struggling with too many choices - and trying to narrow it down. Yes, does look a good itinerary - only Tikal where I've been before (on the other JY trip). Currently leaning towards India but really dithering. It does look like it's well supported at the moment, the Oct trip almost sold out - but the flights are not direct (they're via NY) which is putting me off a bit and India is direct to Dehli.

Best wishes

Hi Katy,

I've done the JY Costa Rica and Nicaragua tour and loved it - the Central America tour visits different places in CR so I can't vouch for them but certainly judging by the descriptions you would see plenty of wildlife and have a lot of interesting experiences.  It visits the same places in Nicaragua, which I loved and would very happily visit them again - Granada is wonderful and the lake trip was great. I'd love to see Panama with its mix of skyscrapers, colonial old town and wildlife as well as the Canal of course!  I think this would be a once in a lifetime to visit safely the unusual destinations of El Salvador and Honduras and of course, it would be nice to see Tikal again - if I do this tour, I'm determined to climb to the top for the views this time!!

I've also done the Spirit of India and can recommend it, although the pace of the trip and the noise and crowds are exhausting!  Again, I know it is one of JY's most popular tours so I can't see it being rested any time soon.  Not that I'm trying to sway you too much!  I also have too many trips in mind to do and will have to make some tough decisions once the new brochure comes out.

All the best,

Bob

Thanks Bob, the thing that had really sparked my interest about the Central America trip was the inclusion of El Salvador and Honduras as I've not really seen them included anywhere else. Like you my wish list is frighteningly long, Currently got an obsession with Morrocco, a proper 2 week trip though - have found one possibility with another operator but need to do some more research.

Best wishes

Katy

How many are going on the Adventure to Central America February 13th 2018 and what is the M/F split? Also who is the Tour Manager and is he/she flying with us from Heathrow. I have received a letter from JY saying we need a yellow fever certificate for entry to Nicaragua as we have previously been in Panama where yellow fever is present in certain areas.

Good Morning Peter,

I can tell you that 14 travellers are booked onto this holiday. 4 are male and 10 are female. The ages range between early 60s - early 70s.

The TM will be Alison Bisset who will be flying out with the group.

Kind Regards,

Amy

Hello Amy/Julia

Checking my day to day itinerary I have noticed some discrepancies/anomalies.

'On arrival at your destination you will be met by your Tour Manager who will be waiting for you near the immigration point or in the arrival hall'. This is the Just You standard sentence. Why do you not give the name of the tour manager and whether he/she is travelling with us from Heathrow. I asked on a previous post and was told she will travelling out with us.Is she not officially on duty until our destination airport where the normal meeting place is the luggage carousel.

The itinerary shows the tour as 19 days. It is 20 days Feb 13th-March 4th as per the flight details and hotel details. It seems our itinerary has not been modified from the previous ones where the outward journey was via the USA and a day flight - ours is via Colombia and is a night flight (therefore 2 days).

Day 3 states we fly to Costa Rica for a two-night stay when it is 5 nights. I assume it should mean two nights at the first hotel.

Hi Peter,

The TM for this tour is Alison Bissett.

The tour itself lasts for 20 days. It departs 13/02 and returns 04/03. We will make sure to amend the incorrect 19 days that is shown in the brochure.

Kind Regards,

Amy
