Hi, I am thinking of booking on the Invitation to India and wanted to ask how many people have booked for this trip and how may are usually in a group of travellers? I notice that it is cheaper to go in September than it is to go in October or November. Is that because of the heat?

Hi DebbieKT,

It depends on which date you are looking at to answer how many are already booked. But, I can tell you that we can take up to 30 travellers on each date.

November falls in the summer season - weather is warmer and more people are travelling to the destination whereas in September, the rainy season is ending and it is the start of the summer, costs are lower and we are able to pass on savings to our customers.

Kindest regards,

Julia

Thank you for your reply Julia. I was thinking of going in September (14th), as advertised, and have looked at the weather for this time of year and can see that it is an end to the rainy season. I know you cannot say for certain but would like to ask if it is likely to be very rainy in the second half of September?

Is anyone planning on going on the Invitation to India on September 14th? I've not been on any tours yet so this would be my first. As anyone been on any golden triangle tours in September - I am worried it is the end of the rainy season!

Hi

I did the Spirit of India tour in late September/early October and the weather was warm and sunny for the entire holiday. Can thoroughly recommend this tour. The highlights for me were seeing the Taj Mahal at dawn and sailing on the Ganges at sunrise and sunset.

Hope this helps you make a decision.

Hi Debbie - I've been doing some googling to see historic rainfall...

Last year, there was 1mm of rainfall in Delhi between the 14th and 25th September and that came on one day. From historic averages, at the start of your trip there is a 25% chance of rain, but by the end this has fallen to 20%.

Sadly, the weather is an uncontrollable and unpredictable force. I would urge you not to be put off by the threat of bad weather. There are beautiful places in this world and some of them simply sparkle after some rainfall.

Kindest regards,

Julia

Hi Lesley

Thank you very much for you reply. It sounds great and I'm pretty sure I am going to book onto the Invitation to India. Its a bit shorter than the trip you went on but I think its a good starting point for my first holiday with Just You!
