Hi Ben,

I posted a new thread on 'say hello to other travellers' on 21.10.12 asking for advice and information from anybody who has been to Thailand in March. I have just had a look for any replies and the thread isn't there. Has it been overlooked and could you please check as I would like some help with luggage information.

Regards

Debs

Hi Debs,

I'm sorry about your previous post, I may have accidentally clicked delete instead of approve! I have this information regarding luggage -

Airline Restrictions for Liquids in Hand Luggage

Restrictions on the quantities of liquids, gels or pastes are:

They must be held in individual containers not exceeding 100ml. The containers must be carried in a separate, clear-plastic, zip-top or re-sealable bag and must not exceed 20cm x 20cm (8ins x 8ins) in dimensions. The bags contents must not exceed one litre in capacity; they must fit comfortably in the bag and must be able to completely seal. The bag will be x-ray screened separately from other hand luggage at airport security points.

Before boarding, secondary searches may be performed if you are carrying liquids. Duty-free goods containing liquids may be carried, provided they are purchased after the security screening point.

Please also make sure you carry all prescription medicines and repeat prescriptions with you in your hand luggage and do not pack them in your main baggage.

Internal flights

If your holiday involves domestic flights with more than one airline, the lowest baggage allowance of 20kg will apply. Additional charges will be incurred if you exceed these allowances.

I hope this helps?

Kindest,

Ben

Hi Debs, Does this mean you are booked on the March 2013 Thailand trip? I am also booked on this holiday. Look forward to meeting you. Have you been on many JY trips before?

Hi Bridget, yes I am booked on the March trip so at least we know there are two of us lol. It will be my 2nd JY holiday, I went to Kenya last September and that was fabulous and I heard that the Thailand trip is good too. I will keep posting questions to try and catch any good ideas and tips from anybody who has already been. Have you been on any other JY holidays and where are you from?

Look forward to hearing from you. Debs

Hi Ben, thanks for the above reply and info I am up to date with the travel liquid restrictions but good to get further confirmation. I wondered if we have any luggage restrictions for the journeys by mini bus as we travel around. Basically I am unsure whether to buy the medium size case or large but lightweight. I will post further threads when I think of anything else. Have many people booked this trip so far?

Regards

Debs

Hi Debs, I also went on the Kenya holiday as my first JY trip in 2011 which was amazing!! Last march I did the Peru with Amazon add on which was also an incredible experience!! I can't wait until the Thailand holiday. It took me two years to pluck up the courage to do that first solo trip but now have really got 'the travel bug'. I know the time will fly and we will be on our way. I am really looking forward to meeting you. I live in south wales (The Gower). What part of the country will you be travelling from?

Hi Debs, don't know what happened but my reply to you didn't come through - I'll try again - After plucking up the courage for two years I went to Kenya for my first solo trip with JY in 2011 It was amazing!! Then in march of this year I did Peru with Amazon add on. Again it was the trip of a life time!! Can't wait till the Thailand holiday. I know the time will pass so quickly. I will be travelling from the Gower in south Wales. What part of the country do you come from? Look forward to meeting you in March!!
