Hi Ollie,

I have booked the Vietnam trip with the add on to Cambodia in September, What is the best currency to take with you?

Hi Anita

The Vietnamese currency is called dong and the exchange rate is currently about £1 = 32,000 dong.

You might prefer using US dollars, which are widely accepted, but bear in mind you will probably pay a little bit more for things as traders will round prices up.

Kind regards

Hi Anitalaughs

I returned from this trip 2 weeks ago and it is a fabulous holiday. I found it easier using American dollars throughout and most of the time you received your change in dollars but not always. I had the feeling I was being ripped off in Vietnam when using dong because there are too many noughts on the end and I couldn't get my head round it. You may not have this problem if you are good with figures but I preferred to stick with the currency I knew.

Have a wonderful holiday.

Kind regards

Iris

Hi Ollie,

I have received my documentation for this trip and as I am getting a connecting flight, does that mean the luggage goes straight through or does it have to be collected at Heathrow?

Hi Anita

I think you gave me the wrong booking reference. It should be A****90 not A****70.

If so, you will need to recollect your bags and check them in again at Heathrow.
