Hi,

have just booked the Cilento coast trip and would like to say hello to any one else going there that week : )

I have done a UK weekend walking tour with a Solos group before but this will be my first time abroad and for a whole week ( I work in education so it had to be a Half Term week )

Any tips to make the most of this trip/spa/hotel would be much appreciated!!

Hi

I've booked this holiday for the 27th May too.  Really looking forward to it.  I've been abroad on my own (but within singles groups) a few times, but never to Italy.  I also work in education and find it so difficult to book holidays in half-term, so this was a great find!

Which airport are you flying from?

Hi Jan,

Looking forward to meeting you!

The holiday seems to be fully booked on the JY website - shame more folks aren't on the discussion boards though.

Hi - All you lucky people going to the Cliento Coast. I went in early 2013 , had a great holiday in the friendly run family run hotel with lovely food. There is a small town up the hill about 20 mins walk and another small town along the coast similar. The trip to Pessium was very interesting if you like history - visiting the Italian and Greek Temples ( Yes Greek !).

Was thinking of heading back this year - but have other destinations to visit and plunder their treasures.

I was there last May and found it the most relaxing holiday ever! Good mixture of sightseeing, walking along beach to next village (we never saw a bus although it was rumoured they were regular! its a lovely walk though) and relaxing in the spa - which was amazing!!! I found the staff lovely. Hotel was not in the least pretentious, just comfy and well run. The four poster sun beds around the pool were amazing!!! The view from my window of the harbour, watching the fishing boats come and go and the sound of the waves lapping softly on the rocks in the evening will for ever be in my memory....we had a lovely TM, a great crowd. Just relax and go with the flow and soak up the atmosphere of a very special unspoiled area of Italy.

I have just booked and got the last space flying from Gatwick! First time with JY but have been on hols with Solos before. Really looking forward to some rest and relaxation, with a bit of culture/trips thrown in.

Looking forward to seeing you all, E
