Hi all.

I am looking to book a holiday but feel a bit nervous about travelling alone as this will be my first time as a single.could anyone reassure me that I will feel comfortable on doing this.

Thankyou

Hi Mark

I have been travelling with JY since 2010 and have done a mixture of long haul and European tours. I have a wish list which I am working my way through. I decide to start with China and I was very apprehensive when I set off for the airport. Live in Scotland so had to travel to Heathrow and navigate my way between terminals. I survived that experience, had a great holiday and have not looked back.

My advice is choose a holiday and go for it.

Hi Mark

Welcome to the JY Forum.  All of us were newbies at one time so understand the nervousness.  As part of a JY group on a trip you will only be alone if you want to be - obviously you need to get to your departure airport but once there look for the JY luggage tags and you will have made friends before you leave the UK.

I assume you know where you want to go so you will have the destination in common with the other travellers in your group.  Go for it - all you have to lose is a few days out of your life, some money but experience is never cheap.  What you have to gain is a world of travel and lots of new friends and experiences.

Hi Mark

Pick a destination you always wanted to visit and just go ahead and book it. I am sure you will want to book another holiday on your return!

Hi Mark

I'd definitely say go for it. I've done 4 trips since 2014 and have my 5th booked for Salzburg & Vienna in October.

The only thing you really need to worry about is where to find the money because after one trip it gets very addictive!!

Hi,

I went to Barcelona in May for my first trip and it was brilliant. Im now off to Italy in October. It is slightly scary but once you are there and meet everyone you wonder why you are worried. When we got back to East Midlands (there were 4 of us flying from there) and had to say goodbye it was hard to believe we had only met the week before. Go for it thats what i say.
