Hi

I am thinking of booking to go to Hinckley for New Year, but I am 47, I have seen on the forum that the average age is mid 50`s so I am wondering if I would fit in,

I am looking for an enjoyable break as I find the break between Christmas and New Year too long and thought this would make a change and also wanting to meet new people and may be some new friends.

Appreciate some feedback before I make my final decision.

Hi Sue,

I am as sure as I can be that you will "fit in". There is a wide age range on JY holidays, and when you think about it the difference in outlook is nowhere near as great between 47 and 57 as it is between 7 and 17, or even 17 and 27.

Hi sue I've been twice to Hinckley and am going this year, I'm 60 this year, but I've met young and old on these new tear breaks and we always have lots of laughter and fun, hope to see you there, Julie L

hi Julie

Thank you for your reply, it does sound like the Hinckley New Year break is enjoyed by a lot of people, I am very tempted, I`ll let you know if I book as it would be nice to know there is someone I have made contact with before.

Hi both

Well I am getting nearer to booking this one, just wanted to ask, how dressed up do people go to the New Year meal, I don`t want to be too dressed up

Hi Sue,

Pleased to read you have decided to go for it.

You will enjoy it I'm sure if its anything like last year and trust me age is just a number, only a problem if you let it be. I've had some great fun and laughs with people much older and much younger (I'm mid 50's), it would be silly to deny yourself enjoyment just because of a number, what Sylvia say's is spot on.

Look forward to meeting you.

Mick
