Hi to everyone, I have just registered. I have never been on a just you holiday or any other singles holiday! I fancy going to Apulia - I saw Gino de Campo on TV last week and he was there and it looked beautiful. Has anyone been there?

There's a thread about Apulia on the first page in the Reviews section of this forum. You will see there that I am a BIG fan of this holiday! I've done it twice and might well go back for a third visit.

It's an area of Italy like no other. Terrific landscape, wonderful weather more or less guaranteed and great value for money in my view. I think the hotel is very good: clean and welcoming.

There are millions of threads on here about the issue of one's first JY holiday. All I can say is that I went through all that in 2008 when I first headed to Austria, and I was genuinely scared! However, all my JY holidays have been really great experiences, and I recommend JY unreservedly.

Hope this helps!

Hi Linda,

I haven't been to Apulia but have booked for 8 Sept.

You will find reviews of Apulia on here, some good, some not. Use the search facility to narrow it down. But what is good for one may not be for another, hence the varying views. I have only been on two JY holidays so far, one to France and the other to Calabria, and have enjoyed them both. JY travellers are a friendly bunch and you are only on your on if you want to be. It is a safe way to travel abroad. Probably safer than being on your own in some parts of the UK!

I saw Gino di Campo and he showed two of the places on the JY itinerary, Matera and Alberobello.

If you do decide to go I am sure you won't regret it.

Regards

Sylvia
