Hello brown owl

I am fine. I had my first chemo cycle week commencing Monday 4 March though ended up staying at Mount Vernon till Sunday evening as needed 2 units of blood before chemotherapy and 2 units at the end on Sunday morning. The next cycle is scheduled next week - it was put back by a week to give my blood count a chance to recover. Also, permission has been granted to give me new chemotherapy drug (monoclonal antibody) - Ofatumumab (trade name Azerra). Remaining positive that I will get to the end of this gruelling journey and start travelling again! So next week will be spent at Mount Vernon hospital. They do take good care of you. Thank you very much for asking.

Regards

Jaya

Thanks Brownowl and Cindy. Cindy, I wish your friend a speedy recovery. Tell her to remain positive and everything will be fine. The chemo 'journey' is not pleasant, but there is light at the end of the tunnel.

All will be quiet at my end next week as I will be in hospital and am not planning to take my laptop with me. I am going to be given a new drug and no idea how I am going to react to it - remaining positive that I will be fine.

Wishing everyone a very Happy Easter.

I wish you well with the NEW drug, and I hope you had a good Easter, hope the Easter Bunny was good to you.

Regarding my friend this has all been one mad panic she only went for her very 1st mammogram and in space of couple weeks it was op time, with this horrid disease you and every one around must stay positive....and just be there and support the person....

So positive;):) vibes coming your way...

I am sure it won't be to long before your booking those tours once again..

Hi Cindy, I, too. Hope your friend is ok. i had breast cancer in 1997' and had to have radiotherapy and chemo. It wasn't pleasant, but I am still here, able to go on loads ofholidays, so tell her to be positive and keep busy.

Best wishes x
