I am still trying to contact anyone who is going on this tour. I have not been away with JY before, and thought this Community was such a good idea, however have not had any luck in contacting anyone. Guess I'll have to wait till I get to Heathrow.:s

Hi Valerie,

This will be my first JY trip as well. A friend of mine has been on a few and recommends them so I am looking forward to it.

Have received my documentation for my holiday "South African Experience" in which it says I will need to buy an adapter for my electrical equipment at the airport. Will the adapter that we normally use in Europe and which has worked in quite a few other places too, not be suitable for this holiday. Would appreciate advice.

Hi Valerie

South Africa uses a three point plug with rounded prongs. So the UK plug and Euro plugs will not fit. The SA adaptor only costs between £5-10. If you google plugs for South Africa, you'll see what it looks like.

Enjoy your trip (I had a fabulous time in South Africa and Zambia in March of this year.)

Sylvia

Hello

You need a different adapter for South Africa you cannot use the European or American types.

Have a great time I went in September and it has been the best holiday I have done with Just You
