Hello Everyone

I just thought I would just put a little post here - I have travelled on my own on a few occassions but thought I would give this a go - I have not booked anything yet but am hoping to - it makes more sense to meet up with other single travellers eh?

:D

Hello

There are many holidays to pick from so choose one that appeals to you. I have my 9th JY tour booked for 2013 they are great fun, you see so much while you are away, and get to meet lots of interesting people as well.

Hi

I've just returned from my first JY trip. I had such a great time. I've met some lovely people and had loads of fun. You really don't feel that you're alone, more like part of a family.

The whole trip was so well organised and I felt cared for and safe. I'll certainly be booking again.

Go ahead and choose somewhere to go. You won't be sorry!

Hi, I was in just the same situation about this time last year and talked myself into the Spirit of India trip last March. Had a wonderful time and met some lovely people. So glad I did it and am definitely going to do another JY holiday in 2013, just can't decide which one yet but am sure whatever it is it will be good. So go for it I'm sure you will love it too!

Hi,

I have only been on a singles holiday once and had a really good time. I am now thinking of my first trip with JY to the West coast of America next year.

I agree with you, it does make sense to meet up with single travellers, it can be very lonely otherwise.

Hello there!

I am in the same situation as many of you.....my friends are not that keen on travelling and I love it.

I have never travelled alone but need to take the plunge!!!! Some of these JY holidays look amazing!! I am wondering if I would be the granny of the group!!I am 63......but I suppose here is a mixed age group ...well happy browsing!!!!

At 63 you will be fine, there will be younger than you nd older than you, so you will be in the middle!..I have done 8 JY tours with a 9th booked for 2013, so if there is anything I can help its just ask, this is a Very safe way for us ladies to travel and they are such good fun..

I can confirm that going with Just You is great. Everything is taken care of and they cater for all age groups. You meet wonderful people and have great fun. Age does not matter on a Just You holiday!

Hi Anthea

I've just returned from my first solo & certainly one of the best holidays I've ever had.

I did the JY Wonder of China tour on 24th Oct and like you I had oh so many doubts and reservations about travelling alone for the first time at the age of 62.

I had such an amazing time and was astounded at how quickly a group of solo strangers can become almost like family in such a short space of time, I was sad to say goodbye to them!! The ages of the group ranged between late 30s & late 70s and the 'youngsters' were in the minority! So certainly not the granny of the group. I recommend that you think about it calmly for a moment and you'll realise that, because they've all booked the same holiday as you they will be of a same mind and probably outlook as you and you won't be alone.

We had a tour manager with us to sort out any logistical hiccups and in each location there was also a local tour guide who was invaluable for local information also with communicating when language becomes a problem, so the JY staff look after you very well.

Take the plunge I'm sure you won't regret it. For me it was the first step for lots of travelling adventures 🙂

Hi all, I'm new to this site and to travelling solo as I'm now a divorcee !

I know it's late but I'm thinking of a Christmas trip away, either UK or Europe.

Anyone else out there in the same position ?

There are many people in your situation, I do know that the Christmas or new year holidays can get booked up..so if there is one you fancy I would go for it .....sooner rather than later...

I don't go on the festive tours due to family commitments but I have been on 8 JY tours which have all been great and old fun..
