I went on this holiday 3 years ago (in September) and you are in for an amazing time! Weather varied from hot to cool and damp. You can do as little or as much walking as you want. I took a more 'sensible' pair of everyday shoes for walking - I even tackled the more difficult stretch of the Great Wall.Don't worry about being on your own, you wont be. Thank you for the info, it has helped with thinking ,do I take warm or cool clothes, answer both!! I am really looking forward to the trip, meeting new people , and seeing the sights.
