Hi Mel P
Personally for me it was an 'ok' holiday but that's all. The hotel is ok, rooms are nice. The restaurant was not very good. The food often cold. The crockery was chipped and cracked so just look out for that. The snack bar however was very good with a very obliging happy chef ! Watch the salt and peppers, a lot are opposite !! We had problems with the drinks being served to us but hopefully it will be sorted out before the next group go. Although the brochure says A I is local wine and beer, they DO serve local spirits too. The trips I did not do except the included one, so can only go on general opinion. The Ephesus trip was the next afternoon after we arrived at mid night which was a shame as a lot of people were tired. However, all who went said it was very good and there is a very good local guide who knows his stuff and is his interest. Pegasus airlines ! I advise anyone to take their own food and drink (if you can) on board plane. The prices were exceptional. A can of sprite and a fanta came to £6.20. Again, it's in Euros, if you use TL or £s they charge an extra % ! Coming back however, water bottles bought in the dept. lounge were confiscated before boarding the plane ! Never known any airline doing that before, oh and it was rather randomly done! When you check in at hotel ask which block you are in. The hotel has two buildings, the lifts for one are by reception the other is by the restaurant in the second block. It will save time wondering round the first block trying to find non existant rooms !! If you intend buying presents, get them before going back to the airport as there is nothing there, apart from a rather expensive duty free shop. Kusadasi has plenty !
I am sure you will have a relaxing holiday there. The main pool is very 'lively' but there is another quieter pool if you prefer, and a small beach.
Regards Carol
Hope this helps
