Good morning all,

My first post on here.

Never taken a singles holiday before but recently widowed and trying to look forwards and create a new life.

Used to go all over the place with my wife and feel I still need something (like a holiday) to look forwards to.

I'll enjoy reading of some of your experiences.

Hello Phil and welcome to you...

I have done 8 JY holidays there are a couple of vieo links on here from Lovely Lesley and Nixon which explains a bit more about these holidays ( I am Nixon)

I have travelled long haul and short haul,

They are great fun and a very safe way to travel.

Main age range 55-75 with younger and older either side.

Always seems to be more ladies than Men

If there is a particular holiday you fancy then book it you will have a great time I am sure.

The first tour I did uas a USA tour had a great time and never looked back.

If there is anything else I can help you with just ask.

Cindy

Thanks for the two encouraging replies.

I'll read a bit more on here I think, then perhaps take the plunge with something short haul like some island in the med for starters.

Thanks again.

I did my first JY trip just 9 months after being widowed, so very glad I did! I met some lovely people, learned from their experiences, loved the whole trip and have booked my next one!! Go for it and I am sure you won't regret it!

Hi Phil

You will have a great time, whatever destination you choose to visit with Just You. Everyone is friendly and you are well looked after. Travelling with Just You is a great experience. I am going on my third trip to Costa de la Luz next month. My first trip was to Jordan.

Hi Carole, I hope it goes well.

I don't fancy a long haul holiday for my first one.

Something in Europe (The Med perhaps) is what I'm looking for as my first singles holiday.

Good luck to you though - let me know how it goes.
