Hi everyone. Hope i'm not being rude but i'm thinking of going on my first solo holiday and was wongering what the age of the group would be. I'm 35 and would like there to be a few in group around the same age. Really don't mean to be offensive and hope you dont mind me asking?

No I am not offended at all. I am a YOUNG well I like to think I am 52 year old been travellling with Jy for the past 5 years and I am on my 8th tour in Jan 2012.

The main age group is around 55-70 with younger and older both sides. In the 5 years I have been travelling the age range is getting younger, but not the core age group. I would say to you if there is a holiday you really do FANCY going on why let age stop you. It is a good safe way to travel. People do mix well together young and old, I have seen the oldest and youngest spend the holiday buddied up together. At the end of the day, you would still have the holiday you want to do, but you just might have to have a few oldies along for the ride as well. What tour have you got your eye on.

Its a question asked many times and I think from what I've seen and what others say the majority of travellers are in their 50's and 60's but there are both younger and older. I must add I don't think age as been a issue on my trips with people mixing really well.

At 35 you would be at the younger end but will add on the four holidays I've done so far you would not have been the youngest on any of them.

I think it does depend which holiday you choose but I suggest if you are unsure you could use the "ask the editor" section of this forum befre you book. Olly will give you the age range of the specific holidy you are considering.
