Hope you enjoy it all as I did in December 2009. I was revisiting my childhood as I lived near Sydney for a short while many years ago and had met a schoolfriend on Friends Reunited so we met up in Brisbane where she now lives. That was amazing enough but we then went on to the Koala Sanctuary outside Brisbane (gorgeous), then to Surfers Paradise staying at Broadbeach, next back to Sydney to find my old home and school. The Opera House was incredible and nothing like I had imagined - I always thought it was just one big auditorium but there are 9 theatres and amazing conducted tours well worth the cost. The harbour is reflected in the outside glass and gives fantastic views in front of you and the real harbour view behind. Fabulous. We did not do the Harbour Bridge walk but I bet you do!! Listen to the Aborigines playing the didgeridoo on Circular Quary near the ferries. We finished in Adelaide, the most beautiful city of all. We had spent 12 days in Singapore on the way out and it was all decorated for Christmas. Changhi Airport is breathtaking with a stream running through, a butterfly park, and flowers galore, apart from the shopping malls. Could not believe that Air Singapore steward uniforms were freely on sale in Duty Free. Try that in UK with British Airways - don't think so!
Have a great time and look forward to reading your blogs.
