I'm off to China very soon and. I know you have recently been there. Have you any useful information or inside tips please? I've sorted money to take etc but thought you could give some help on other stuff...such as how early to arrive at airport and how do we meet up? I know these details will be in info pack but you've been there, done that etc. Anyway I'd be really grateful as the closer the departure date gets, the more nervous (and excited) I get. Thank you. Firstly don't be nervous, but be excited because you are in for a great holiday. Early starts but so action-packed!!

It was cold when I was there in March, but it is Springtime now so the weather will be better.

Your info pack will tell you that you have to be at Heathrow airport 3 hours before you flight to check-in. My tour manager Robert was waiting for us, but if you tour manager is not flying out with you there will be a Just You rep to help you check in. After checkin you can go to the Executive Lounge to await your flight - use of this lounge is included in your package because you are flying with Air China - there you can meet up with the others on your trip.

No problem. If Olly is willing to do that, it's fine with me. I have met Olly and he is really, really helpful.

Also any other questions you may have - you could ask Daniel Adams, who is one of the tour managers who regularly does this trip. He has been very helpful to me with advice on money, adaptors etc. You could post your questions on the 'Tour Managers' forum addressed to Daniel Adams and he will reply if he can help. My tour manager for China was Robert Sharp and he would also help with any more information you may need. You must really be excited by now - you should be!

I am off on the Walking In The Ahr Valley trip next week but would reply to your email ASAP.
