Hello,

I have just joined this site and the reason I have done so is to find out from other travellers their opinion on their trip to Israel with Just You.

I usually go on holiday with friends but this year for one of the weeks of my holiday leave, I want to try something different on my own and have always wanted to visit Israel. My main concern is the fact that the Middle East is an unstable place and going on my own is the other factor.

So any tip please look forward to hearing from you.

Best Wishes

Hi Suzie, welcome to the forum :)

Haven't been on the Israel trip but I do understand your concerns. If it's any help, the trips I've been on have been well organised and you would have the additional security of being in a group. Also the tour guides I've experienced do seem to be very safety conscious.

Hi

I've done several trips with Just You, and you never "alone"

I'm booked to go to Israel in July.

Just You would always put your stafety first and would go anywhere where there would be a "risk" to it's clients

Hi Julian,

Thank you for your reply. I do get the feeling that this operator is worth trying out and being in a group is the best way to travel in certain countries.

Bye

Hello Suzie

I have just joined the forum and my first trip with Just You is to Israel on 4/04/11. I am a quite nervous as this is my first singles holiday but I am not too nervous about going to Israel, millions of tourists visit Israel every year and the security measures taken on EL AL flights and at Tel Aviv airport are second to none. If you are really interested in going to Israel I would go, as it is a unique destination for historical reasons. If you would like I will post a new reply to when I get back?

Hi

I would say go for it! I have been on three Just You holidays, twice to different parts of Italy and my first venture was to Moscow & St Petersburg. The tour leaders have all been great and it is a great way to travel alone safely in a group. I have kept in touch with friends made on each of the holidays.

I have booked to go to Israel on 16th May and I share your concerns about the Middle East. But I have complete confidence in the safety of travelling with Just you and like you it is somewhere I have always wanted to vist.

Good luck - you won't be disappointed! All the best.

In case it helps, my take on this is that I spend an awful lot of time in central London, including on public transport. I work in a high-profile building and have seen first-hand the effects of terrorism, unfortunately on number of occasions. So if I'm at risk anyway I may as well be at risk somewhere warmer!
