Hi Patricia,Not long until you fly off now!!I have done some investigating and come up with some information for you....In Peru Summer months are December-March, Autumn are March-June, Winter are June-December and Spring are September-December. You will be visiting during Autumn, which hopefully means that it wont be too hot and you will be pleased to know that June is when rainfall in Peru is at its lowest.Average temperatures during June are between 20-25 degrees, It will be quite humid and sometimes overcast. The Amazon is slightly different....The Average temperature is 27 degrees, however this drops dramatically at night time to about 10 degrees. Rainfall is heavy but comes in short intervals so it shouldnt be too much of a problem (probably a welcome refreshment from the humidity!) June to November are thankfully the dryer months. In the Amazon there are approx 100-120 different species of trees per acre or two. Most of the the birds, monkeys, cats and insects populate the forest canopy, however some insects, deer and wild pigs roam the amazon floor.Regarding packing for your holiday, I would take light clothing only because of the humidity. Linen trousers, T-shirts etc. I would, however take some cover-ups (as light as possible) for your add-on to the Amazon...wouldnt like to risk getting bitten!(so remember your bite cream)I hope this is what you were looking for. If you need anymore information, I will be happy to help.Warm regardsCheryl, your editor
