I have just booked my first holiday on my own to Lake Garda at Xmas. I will let you know what it was like and pass on any tips. The one thing I have learnt over the years is to live each day to the full.

It will be my first trip to Italy and I chose this destination because I'm much more of a water and mountains person than an old beach bum!

I'm looking forward to it very much. I much prefer mountains and lakes to the beach and this holiday sounds close to perfect!

You will unfortunately have returned from holiday by the time I go (13.5.08). I would like to hear from you as to how your holiday went.

I've just booked onto the April trip to Lake Garda too. I travelled to Iceland with JY four years ago and had a wonderful time. I'm looking forward to Venice but most of all a relaxing week in the mountain air.

Just checked the forum again and seen your message! Im flying from Bristol to Milan. The flight does not arrive until quite late so I may not actually see anyone until the next day 😞

Its my first single holiday. I would love to hear from anyone else going on that date.

I am planning to travel down to Gatwick the day before and do the hotel overnight stay.
