My wife and I cannot always get the same leave periods. My wife can get away for a break with a couple of her single friends but my friends are tied up with kids etc. I know Just You say that married people do go on Just You holidays and Just You is for single travellers not just singles but is that really the case? On most holidays are there married people? If so do the married ones feel a bit out of place? Honesty appreciated.

Hi

Altough I am single i've been on a few J Y holidays where there have been married people traveling alone, for whatever reason. Dont worry I have always found the groups freindly and inclusive. I wouldnt have any hesitation in reccomending that you book a trip with them.

Hi Julian!

I would echo Brian's comments. I have now been on 2 off JY holidays and found that in some cases some are actually on a holiday respite from caring full time for their spouse / partner as well as for any other reason. So don't let that be an issue. THe hoildaays are designed for people on a singular basis as are all the activities / tours which are on the itinery. Participation in any of them is optional and there is no pressure to do anything you don't want to do.

Make your decision on your preferred holiday and GO FOR IT.

Billa.

I have not found any problems. People travel alone for many reasons, when the group are together they are all 'single travellers' - all wanting to enjoy a holiday with like minded peaple. Book a holiday and I am sure you will enjoy it. You are free to have time on your own or with the group whatever you wish.

I am very happily married and have been for 26 years but I have now done 4 JY holidays and have another booked for next year. Some people do travel together I travelled on my 1st trip with my Mother In law, and I have just come home from USA JY with a lady I meet on that trip, I went to Poland JY and I am going to Austria with 2 ladies I meet on that trip next year. I hope that you or the wife have fun choosing a holiday to go on.

Hi, thank you all for taking the time and trouble to reply to my question. Your thoughts are really appreciated and you have certainly given me a greater insight into the Just You comunity. Once again many thanks for help.
