I've just booked online for the America's Golden West trip in April 2008. I'm flying from Manchester. It's my first time travelling alone and thought that the 'Just You' tours seemed an ideal way to experience what the world has to offer and meet interesting people too!

If anyone is planning to go on this tour or has been before, it would be great to hear from you.

I've just booked this holiday flying from Manchester as well. This is my second time travelling with Just You. I did the Shanghai and Yangtze Gorges Cruise in October which was fantastic. I met a lot of wonderful people and had a great tour rep which made China an unforgettable experience especially as it was my first time travelling alone.

I'm also doing this tour in April flying from Manchester. After about two years of thinking whether or not i should do it i finally pressed that button and got it book and now i'm so glad i did as i can't wait.

Can't believe only 2 weeks to go... I can't wait. Saw the Big Shot ride at the Stratosphere on TV... looks terrifying but think it will have to be done...is anyone else as mad as me??

Thankyou Sandra, I'm glad I've got someone to go on the Big shot with other wise I may chicken out. Think getting it over with on first night in Vegas may be best lol! Think Nicola may have more sense than us!

Not long to go now only 3 days and counting. Not packed yet, but everything ready to go in suitcase. Hope I haven't chosen too many things to take. According to BBC world weather, its about 18-21deg in California and 24-28deg in Las Vegas at the moment.

I'm with you Nicola re: The Big Shot. Not keen on those sorts of rides. We'll just stand and watch the others.

Has anyone thought about which optional excursions to go on? I fancy the Harbour Bay Cruise in San Francisco to begin with.
