Just booked up for this holiday, I think 19 places have already been booked, anyone want to get in touch before we go to discuss?

Hello Jenny, I am booked for this holiday too. Exciting isn't it? I need to start thinking seriously about what to take in the way of clothes etc Are you experienced at this sort of thing? I have only been to European destinations and the USA so this is a new adventure for me.

Hi Judith, so nice to hear from you, I havn't ever been so daring as this, I am going to concentrate on casual clothes, and lots of insect repellant. Went to the Dr last week and as we will be mainly on the West Coast, only need Tetnus, Dyptheria and polio (1 injection).

Have you thought about currency/travellers cheques (bit of a worry in case there is no where to change them!).

Hi Jenny & Judith, my friend Janet and I are really excited about going to Costa Rica and meeting the rest of the group. Have had our vaccinations. Did you hear about the earthquake? Hope it won't mean our itinerary will be changed too much. Ann1

Hi everybody. Where did you get advice about injections? i have been told hepatitus is advisable and malaria precautions? Help!

Hi Judith, Your GP should be able to advise you on vaccinations. I had tetanus booster, diptheria, typhoid. Advised malaria not required, but take plenty of insect repellent. Ann1

re the earthquake, I expect you have had a letter from JY, day 3 will be altered due to this.

Have you thought about what currency to take i.e travellers cheques and "Colons" or US dollars? I am so excited about this holiday where are you travelling from?

Hi Judith & everyone - haven't decided about currency yet, still trying to sort out what new clothes I need. Janet and I live quite near Heathrow so will get up early and travel there on the morning. We are both really excited as have not had this sort of holiday before.

I am taking some Costa Rican currency and my debit and credit cards. flying from heathrow early morning. is anyone going to a meet up the night before?

Hi Judith

I am travelling up to heathrow early Monday morning, I will be exhausted as the Coach leaves Southampton at 1.30 AM and gets to Heathrow at 3 AM. It was so cheap (return ticket £11.95) so saved my daughter the time and money.

Where are you travelling from?

Hi everyone, I am flying from Manchester on the Sunday and have booked the pre-holiday get together including the overnight accommodation. Are any of you going to the get together or do you know of anyone going to the get together?

Hmm, tried (somewhat belatedly) to book the pre holiday get together, but JY said bookings were closed. Which hotel is it at? I may try to make a private booking so that I can get on the bus in the morning with you guys.

Hi Judith, I think it was the Comfort Inn I stayed in last year. I would imagine Just You will be able to tell you which hotel they are using this year. Dot
