I never been on holiday alone before and I'm not an experienced traveller. I would like a holiday to remember and some sunshine. I can only go during the school holidays. Can anyone give me any pointers please?

holiday choice is subjective and personal.

decide what you want to do and book it,

I have done several just you hols, and only on a couple have i not found people on my wave length.

would suggest that tourimng hols are best as on beach hols everyone goes off and do their own thing often just meeting up at meal times.

If you just want a beach holiday, I would suggest going alone, lots of people do. Or like the previous advice, go on a tour where you are likely to spend more time with the people if that's what you prefer.

I went on a recent tour with JY but if I was choosing beach, I would definitely go alone.

I always pick a holiday that I have an interest in, then you have something in common with people if nothing else. I have been on 4 JY holidays and going on another in May, they have always worked out really well. 3 to USA and 1 to Poland. The holidays I have been on have been quite hectic from a touring point of veiw but then I always do the extra trip bits as well, as I want to get the most out of the holiday. I have always found the mix of people very good and every one mucks in together by the end of the tour. I am sure there must be a trip that will suit you, so I hope you can find it and have a great time.
