Hi, I'm on Discover Vietnam tour, march 2019, now know that US$ is widely accepted. I was wondering if you've had any feedback, about how much much spending money people have got through on previous trips?
Hi Gill,

Yes you will have plenty of time to get this organised as you're there for 3 days and a suit can be tailored very speedily there!

Branwen will be able to advise you on the best place whilst you're there 🙂

Many thanks,

Vickie

Hi, can you ask out guide Bronwin if we have time in Hoi An if we can get clothes made? I have been told by son and nephew it is the place to get this sorted out!
Hi Laronde,

The US dollar is the main currency used in Cambodia. Prices in hotels, shops and restaurants are quoted in US dollars. Cambodian Riels are used only as small change at a rate of around 4000 Riels/US$1.

If you are struggling to get Vietnamese dong before your trip, you can exchange your US dollars when you're there (USD are the most common foreign currency and easier to exchange than sterling).

Thanks,

Vickie

What is your advise regarding the currency we should take on this trip. Should we take US$ or try to get Vietnamese dong?
