Thanks Tim,

As I say I'm not too concerned as its on the homeward journey so wouldn't impact the holiday if the worst happend. Pleased the flight at the start of the trip is direct to Chicago though.

Hi Mick, we have not yet had the exact confirmation from American Airlines of the flights for this departure so the flight information you have received is provisional. However, judging by the confirmed flights for earlier departures on the same tour where we have been given flights with a longer connection and routing via Dallas rather than Miami, the likelihood is that flights on this particular departure will be changed to a different route that allows a longer connection time.

Thanks,

Tim

Julia,

Having been one of the Minnesota 17 on my last JY holiday I'm quite surprised at the flight timings I've been sent for the American Heart and Soul holiday.

On our return journey we appear to only have 45 minutes to make our connection at Miami airport which seems quite tight to me (arrive 20-40 and depart 21-25). I'm not familiar with this airport but from experience trans atlantic flights tend to board around 30 minutes before departure so even if we are on time that only leaves 15 minutes to get of our first flight and find the new gate.

Ok all been well we should just about catch the flight as we dont have to clear immigration or re-check our luggage but I'm concerned our luggage may not get back to Heathrow with us.

Feels a bit like groundhog day to me after my previous holiday.

I know its a long way off but are these flight times correct ?

I've looked online and 1 hour is advised for a Domestic to International connection.

"MIA - Miami International (7 miles NW of Miami city center)

All flights to/from the following Caribbean airports - FPO, NAS, STT, STX, SJU are treated as domestic.

Domestic to Domestic - 55 minutes

Domestic to International - 1 hour

International to Domestic - 1 hour 30

International to International - 1 hour 30"

All I can say is at least its on the homeward journey so if the worst happend he holiday wouldn't be spoiled.

Mick
