Thanks for getting in touch, for day to day clothing we advise -
Temperatures can vary greatly depending on altitude, time of year and the region you are visiting. Weather from October to March is wintry and you should expect conditions similar to the UK, especially in the north.
In terms of the evening events, they do tend to be reasonably formal but not overly so, I'm sure community members can offer some advice on this, I will also do my homework this end for you and come back to you 🙂
