Thanks David for your comments, anyone else with any advice on Thailand, Vietnam or Malaysia?
I can only speak for China, but your digestion cannot be worse than mine and the only problem I had was over-eating the delicious food!
Hello

Although all of these countries like spicy food, they all offer dishes that aren't hot too - for example, korma curries in India. Also, the hotels we work with in these parts of the world know that Brits have a lower tolerance for chilli than they do, so they are careful to provide milder food for our groups.

In China, for example, you will be eating European style breakfasts but Chinese lunch and dinner, but I don't think either meal will be overly spicy. We want to make sure that everyone can enjoy their food.

Perhaps some other Community users could share their experiences of the food in these countries?

Kind regards

Olly, your editor

Hi Olly, I've booked the Spirit of India for next March and am also thinking about doing the Thailand and Vietnam trips over the next few years, but I have one worry - will the food in these three destinations all be fairly spicy? I cannot digest it and hope there will generally be mild options available in the hotels/restaurants we would visit. I've been told in Thailand in particular the food is very HOT!!!
