I am also on that trip, but live in Surrey I look forward to meeting you.  Did you make up your mind on where to stay?  If it's any help and it's not too late there is an hourlty bus from Woking station to Heathrow, and it might be a bit cheaper and more friendly.  

I was wondering whether we needed a visa for Brazil?  I'm assuming not as we are just transferring with the same airline.  But in the United States, that in itself can be difficult...  I am obviously over-thinking this!

I was just wondering if there is anyone going who is travelling from North Yorkshire like me.  I am, at the moment, looking at different options on how best to get to Heathrow and even spending the night before the flight in a hotel at Heathrow.  Anyone else spending the night before at Heathrow?  Any recommendations/ideas?
