great to meet you too et al ... a real fun group. I do agree 31 was pushing it. A mighty task to keep everyone together on some of those guided tours.

As you say, Gracia was an absolute star ! We were very lucky to have her looking after us 🙂

I agree hotels and hotel food were a mixed bag. To be fair I would imagine the organisation was a bit of a logistical nightmare. That said I reckon we did pretty well overall.

So many highlights it's hard to put one at the top. The Vatican Museum did blow me away, though.

As for the photos you were all very welcome. I'm not precious about them 🤣. It's going to make next year's calendar choices a touch tricky ! What a great idea it was of Gracia's to start up the WhatsApp group on day 1. That provided plenty of entertainment 😂

At the moment I've nothing in the pipeline as far as future trips go, but no doubt the urge will return soon !

It was good to meet you both on the recent Itialian trip, I hope you're both back to your normal routine now and managing to cook your own meals 🤣.

Overall I enjoyed the trip and loved seeing a lot of the places on my wish list. Thank yiou Roger fro sahring your wonderful photos with us all.

It was a lovely group but I did think that 31 was far too many for a solos trip, my feeling is that 24 should be the maximum.

Some of the hotels left a bit to be desired but I had a lovely room at the last one which almost made up for that 🤣. 

Much to like and a few things to complain about, but the highlight of it all had to be Gracia, what a fantastic tour manager she was!

Where are you off to next? It's Morocco in March for me (with a different company), wherever you go I wish you happy travels

I hadn't noticed that our tour date is now back on sale. I know a September date was added when 'ours' sold out, which was a bit annoying as I'd rather have gone in September!

I also hope that more places haven't been added, I find that anything much over 20 to 25 makes it difficult to mix with everyone in the group. There  is no extra availablility for the Septeber date, so I hope this means that no extra places have been added, perhaps some people have dropped out and that's why places are available. I'm very much looking forward to it.

I hope it doesn't mean extra places have been added as the 26 total mentioned previously would be more than enough.

However, I believe a European tour back in the Spring had 40 on it !

I'm ready for some culture now. Recently back from Namibia. What a spectacular place. The Milky Way is the best thing I've EVER seen. A big and unexpected bonus was to see a pangolin. The world's most persecuted animal. Such a shame. A real cracker and much bigger than I expected.

Looking forward to meeting the other members of our Italian Legion in 11+ weeks ...

I hadn't noticed that it's sold out, so glad that I booked early as it's a trip I've wanted to do for such a long time. 

I can't really understand why JY can't say how many are going, particularly when it's sold out. I can understand that they don't want to divulge gender, ages etc but total number surely won't hurt. I just hope it's not a huge number as that could spoil it, I find that with anything much over the average it's hard to get to know everyone in the group.

I'm really looking forward to it though and trting hard not to wish the next 12 months away!!

I notice on the website that the eagerly awaited Italian adventure has now sold out. 

It's still over a year away, but I'm not surprised places have been snapped up. Hence my early booking !

If I may, can I ask now that all places are taken how many lucky people will be on this trip ?

I know you're restricted in what info you can divulge, but I don't see where the harm would be in this case.

Just curious ..🧐

It's exactly the tour I've been looking for so a big thumbs up to JY.

I look forward to meeting you and others on this tour which, I think, will book up quickly. I do hope that it's kept within the usual numbers though and we're not swamped.

My next JY trip is later this year to Andalicia, I can't wait for that either, the Alhambra Palace has been on my 'must visit' list for ages!
